Hi, welcome to The Party of 10 Travel Blog. For the better part of 15 years, my family of 5 has joined forces with our best friends, also a party of 5. Together we are the Party of 10 and are always planning our next adventure.

I’m Lauraliisa Gudgeon and thanks to my parents, I was traveling the world by the time I was two. My husband Adam spent his youth in Cape Town, South Africa before moving to the US. He also grew up traveling a lot and so we naturally have instilled that same love of travel and cultural experience to our children.

How did we get to a Party of 10? We have our daughters from both families to thank for that – having met in preschool at the age of one – they became fast friends and soon after, so did the parents. What started off as a Parents-Only trip to Italy 13 years ago with our besties The Milbecks, has now become an annual tradition both with and without kids. We’ve done roadtrips in the US, gone skiing, rode out a hurricane in Orlando, swam with sharks in Bora Bora, scaled the Sydney Harbor bridge, cruised the Rhine River and more recently introduced the kids to Europe!

This blog will be dedicated to helping you plan your next adventure with your Party of X – if it’s 2, 4, 6, 8 or more. What should you look for in a travel partner(s)? How do you keep it all organized? Where do you start? Where will you be going on your next adventure?
